Valley Symphony Orchestra Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and its Bienvenidos Committee invite you to celebrate the expansion of the Valley Symphony Orchestra’s programming in Brownsville! Join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 7 PM in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center Gold Room.
Now in its 73rd season under the direction of Maestro Peter Dabrowski, the Valley Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to return to Brownsville with COCKTAILS CON FUERZA. The evening will feature an unforgettable performance of works by Gershwin, Ellington, Schubert, Bernstein, and Sinatra, plus the South Texas premiere of Gabriela Ortiz’s Antrópolis—hailed by The New York Times for its “orchestral sophistication and grooving joy [that] would make West Side Story jealous.”
