Mr. Amigo Association 2018 Official Announcement

Mr. Amigo Association along with the Consulate of Mexico at Brownsville, the U.S. General Consulate at Matamoros, Texas Southmost College and the City of Brownsville would like to invite the public to the official announcement of the Mr. Amigo 2018 honoree. This yearly event is held during the Charro Days festivities to promote and celebrate the international friendship and goodwill between the United States and Mexico. 

The Official Announcement and the Poster Unveiling Ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, December 17th, 2018 at Texas Southmost College ITEC Center, Main Plaza located at 301 Mexico Blvd., Brownsville, Texas.

The selection process of Mr. Amigo is initiated every year by the president and the selection committee composed of four past presidents of the association. The Committee seeks to designate an individual who promotes the improvement of the quality of life in the Hispanic Community and stands as a role model for citizens of the United States and Mexico. The recipient must also be a Mexican citizen who has contributed to the friendship and understanding of the U.S. and Mexico, and has excelled in their profession, exemplifying the highest standards in their personal and professional life.
