CRUSHING THE OPIOID CRISIS
The opioid crisis has been declared a public health emergency. Every day, more than 130 people in the United States die from opioid-related drug overdoses. The misuse of prescription opioids often begins when they are obtained from a friend or family member’s medicine cabinet.
Valley Regional Medical Center is joining the HCA Houston Healthcare family of hospitals across the greater Houston area, as well as HCA Healthcare hospitals across the nation to host opioid take back events. Together, we can help “Crush the Crisis” and take action by safely disposing of unused and expired medication.
