Brownsville Museum of Fine Art: Con-Passion Opening Reception
ROBERTO JUAREZ CERVANTES was born on August 25, His goal is to instill in students a taste for painting and the arts, based on his vast experience: Training course as an Instructor at IRBAM in Matamoros, Tam. 1997-1980.
He continued in The Art League Complementary Drawing and Painting Course in Brownsville, Tx. 2000-2001. Fresco Mural Painting Workshop in Matamoros, Tam. In September of 2011.
Second Training Workshop for Teachers and Executives of the National Program of Artistic Initiation Schools in the Edo. de México. He has won prizes in different parts of the country and abroad: 4th place in the Etapa Nacional de los Juegos Culturales in 2001 in Edo. of México, Premio de Artes Visuales y Apreciación in 2005 at the Albertina Gallery, Adquisición Bienal de Las Fronteras at MACT. In Matamoros, Tam., "Best of Show" Award at Brownsville Museum of Fine Art in 2016. Among others.
He has exhibited his work in collective exhibitions such as: Teatro de la Reforma in 1998, 31th. International Art Show of the BMFA in 2002.
The Historic Museum Association and Consulate of Mexico in 2004, "The Twist Art" in the Restaurant the Fratelli in 2007, Festival Internacional de Otoño in 2010, "Attributes of the Skin" in 2015, among others adding a total of 19 exhibitions.
His individual exhibitions:
"Ideas que Perduran, Colores que se esfuman" in 2001 in Presidencia Municipal in Matamoros, Tam.,
“Retrato a la Melancolía” in the IRBAM in 2002,
"Jóvenes Construyamos la Nueva Civilización de Color" in Esc. Normal de Maestros "José Guadalupe Mainero", 2004,
"Explorando el Interior" in 2011,
"Imagen y Semejanza" at Museo Casa Mata in 2015,
"Soy de Color" at Carlota Petrina Gallery in 2016,
among many others adding a total 12 exhibitions.
From 2003 to date he is an Art Instructor at the Instituto Regional de Bellas Artes in Matamoros, Tam.
