Brownsville Market Square & Brownsville Police Department Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for the ribbon cutting ceremonies of the Brownsville Market Square and the Brownsville Police Department as they celebrate their new downtown Police Substation location!
About the Market Square and the Brownsville Police Department: "Originally built in 1850, Market Square opened as an open air market in 1852. For the rest of the 19th century, many Brownsville residents bought their fresh foods from the many stalls found in the Square. Today, thanks in part to the City of Brownsville, the Stillman Trust, and the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation, the Brownsville Historical Association has taken on the task of preserving and rehabilitating the longest run city building in the state of Texas, Market Square."
The City of Brownsville and Main Street Brownsville invite you to enjoy live entertainment, music, and complimentary food! The live music will begin at 6:30 PM and will feature music from Jewel Marie & Rotary Waves and The Flying Kowalskis!
