Art, Wine & Cheese Night

Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club invites you to sip & stroll through the historic Casa Grande while viewing artwork by featured artist of the month: Lourdes Schoellkopf. Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club will be offering wine, beer, sangria and a fruit & cheese display. This event is free for Members of the Country Club and $25 for Non-Members. Artist Bio:
Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club's featured artist, Lourdes Schoellkopf, is a local resident of Rancho Viejo who specializes in recreating the lush and tropical landscapes of The Rio Grande Valley. “Luli”, as her friends and family affectionately call her, is originally a native of Baja, California, Mexico and was immediately captivated by her surroundings at the young age of 11, when she relocated with her family to the border. Her signature style of painting natural landscapes involves using acrylics and oil colors and she has also mastered the use of encaustic painting, an ancient art consisting of using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. Luli’s inspiration has continued to evolve throughout the years through her extensive travel to locations such as Florence, Paris, New Zealand and India and through her enthusiastic appreciation for all of God’s creation. She has exhibited her work at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts, Tre Fratelli Restaurant in Brownsville, El Jardin del Arte in Matamoros, Mexico and members have long admired her work throughout our country club as well.
