Yours to Command Book Signing

"Yours to Command: The Life and Legend of Texas Ranger Captain Bill McDonald" takes readers into the world of law and order under Captain McDonald, whose exploits are stuff of legend. His involvement in incidents like the Brownsville Raid of 1906 has made him controversial, but author Harold Weiss wades through fact, fiction and speculation to bring the truth about Captain McDonald to light. Dr. Weiss is a professor Emeritus of History, Government and Criminal Justice at Jamestown Community College (NY). After his presentation on Bill McDonald, Dr. Weiss will be on hand to sign copies of his book, which are for sale in La Tienda Gift Shop. A reception will follow. This event is free to the public. For more information regarding this and other programming, contact the BHA at 956-541-5560 or via email at rcizon@brownsvillehistory.org.
