Join us for a live webinar, featuring OSHCON, the Occupational Safety and Health Consultation (OSHCON) program available to private Texas employers through the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation.

OSHCON’s goal is to help Texas employers understand and comply with OSHA standards, better identify and fix hazards to protect their employees, help their bottom line, develop safety programs, and more.

At this webinar, a OSHCON representatives will discuss the following:

  • Employer obligation to OSHA regulations and standards
  • OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping and Reporting

  • COVID-19 – Emergency Temporary Standards for Healthcare and New Guidance for All Industries
  • OSHCON No-Cost Confidential OSHA Compliance Help
  • Workplace Safety and Health Resources

The OSHCON program is a no-cost and confidential service available to private sector Texas employers through the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation. OSHCON’s professional safety and health consultants, across the state, are available to help employers understand OSHA rules and identify and eliminate occupation hazards in their workplace.  Using a no-cost consultation service largely funded by OSHA, employers can find out about potential hazards at their worksites, improve their safety and health programs, and more. Primarily targeted for smaller businesses, this safety and health consultation program is completely separate from the OSHA inspection effort. In addition, no citations are issued or penalties proposed.

This webinar is hosted by the UTRGV SBDC with promotional support by the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, Greater Pharr Chamber of Commerce, Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation, San Benito Chamber of Commerce, South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce, and Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center.
