Wage & Hour for Small Businesses



Small business owners are invited to attend a wage & hour workshop on Tuesday, September 10th from 2 PM to 4 PM, at the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce. 

The Wage & Hour for Small Businesses workshop covers the following:

  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) 
  • Minimum Wage | Overtime | Hours Worked 
  • Record-keeping Requirements 
  • Child Labor Laws 
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) 
  • Wage & Hour Compliance Resources 
This session is presented by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division.

Located behind the Jacob Brown Auditorium and next to the Texas Southmost College Arts Center. Parking is available in front of our building where a blue bag with the words "Do Not Park" will be placed over meters so participants do not get tickets. You also have the option of parking on the side of our building.
