About the Series – Organzied by the SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District OfficeIntroducing the “Let's Talk Business Series”, a 12-part program connecting entrepreneurs with federal, state, and local small business resources. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur or want to grow your business, this series presents essential business topics, provides a forum for networking, and promotes success in today’s dynamic business environment. Participants may attend one, two, six, or all sessions.

Session 7 – Smart Moves for Solor HR-Crafting Effective Strategies for One-Person Departments

Unlock the essentials of solo HR success and learn to navigate compliance with confidence, gain insight into ‘Knowing Your Numbers’ for strategic decision-making, and discover effective strategies for Fostering Leadership and Development. This comprehensive session will leave you equipped with tools to excel in one-person HR departments.

This workshop, presented by Subject Matter Expert and Presenter Celine Perez, from SCORE will help you achieve this by covering the following:

 

  • Learn to navigate Compliance with Confidence-Identify common compliance pitfalls and learn practical strategies to navigate them effectively, ensuring adherence to local rules and regulations.
  • Gain insights into ‘Knowing your Numbers’ for strategic decision-making-We will review the importance of data-driven decision making, while uncovering practical approaches to interpret and utilize vital metrics for strategic effectiveness.
  • Discover effective strategies for Fostering Leadership and Development-Explore the integration of personality testing as a powerful tool in fostering leadership.
