Session 5 – Business Marketing: Marketing Essentials for Your Business
Marketing is a topic many entrepreneurs ponder as they begin shaping their business ideas. Marketing is a solution-driven process that benefits both the customer and the business owner. While advertising is essential, it is only a single component of the entire marketing process. A marketing plan is the blueprint of strategies to help you win and retain customers. A marketing plan is considered the heart of your business and includes detailed information about your location, product, services, pricing, promotional methods, and the product itself.
Now, more than ever, it's vital for you to know how to distinguish your business from the competition and how to reach your ideal customers. This workshop, presented by Subject Matter Expert Danielle N. Rodriguez, Director of Marketing and Programs, Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, will help you achieve this by covering the following topics:
- Essentials of a marketing plan
- Segmentation and target markets
- Setting achievable marketing objectives
- Business positioning and branding
- Promotional Strategies (digital and traditional marketing)
- Internet and social media marketing
- Measuring your marketing efforts' success
