Business Franchising: Is Franchising the best fit for you

The U.S. Small Business Administration has organized a series of eight (8) Friday Informational Workshops to help small business owners or anyone thinking about starting a business properly start, build and grow. Additionally, the sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to connect with representatives from federal, state and local business resource agencies for expert information. April's session in partnership with the University of Texas Pan American Small Business Development Center, and presented by FranNet and will discuss weighing the pros and cons of a franchising business model. Discover and Learn: • Why people consider business ownership and what are the risks involved. • What is the best path: starting from scratch, buying an existing business or investing in a franchise. • The cost of business ownership, how money is made and kept in the business. • Why franchise ownership works for people transitioning from a regular job. • The SBA and franchising, franchise eligibility for SBA backed financing. • Investigating before investing, what to look for before deciding on a business franchise.
