Air Fiesta 2014

We’re gearing up for AIR FIESTA 2014, and what a show it will be! Not only will we host Aeroshell, an acclaimed aerobatics team that will keep you on the edge of your seat, but we will also see the return of legendary stunt pilots Kyle Franklin and Matt Younkin.

Patrons of AIR FIESTA will remember Kyle and Matt’s last appearance in 2011, and the tragic accident that resulted in the death of Amanda Franklin. Amanda  was not only Kyle’s wife but Matt’s sister, as well.

Because of the outpouring of love and support from the AIR FIESTA family and Brownsville community, Kyle and Matt have repeatedly requested a return engagement to express their gratitude for the help they received during such a terrible time in their lives.

Your AIR FIESTA 2014 air show team is excited to welcome Kyle Franklin and Matt Younkin back to Brownsville and we hope you will be, too! Other World Class performers scheduled to appear include: Mike “Spanky” Galloway in his Extra 300 aerobatic monoplane, Paul Fiala in his classic Great Lakes bi-plane, and Aaron Taylor flying the North American AT-6. Of course, no AIR FIESTA would be complete without reenactments of WWII air battles and demonstrations featuring the airplanes that helped win the war.
