16th Annual Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival- The Capitol Theatre Street Party!
It's the Festival's biggest and most popular FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT! A day of excellent music, dance, art,good food and wholesome fun for the entire family from 2:00PM to 10:00PM, right in front of the Capitol Theatre on the corner of 11th & E. Levee St. in Historic Downtown Brownsville, featuring the UTB Jazz Band, the Steel Pan Band, the Brownsville Samba School, David Lopez and UTB's Marimba Reyna del Valle, and our spectacular hometown band Adrian Junior and the Dabs with the best Caribbean and Afro-Cuban music. Closing the music fest will be none other than San Antonio's fabulous Rafi Marrero y Orquesta, with super Salsa vocalist Melvin Martinez, direct from San Juan, Puerto Rico, in tribute to singers Frankie Ruiz and Tommy Olivencia so come and ready to dance!
