About Us

The Office of Grant Management and Community Development is committed to effectively identify, secure and manage grant funding that will promote an increased quality of life for the Brownsville Community.

About Us:
In 2011, the city created a new department, the Office of Grant Management and Community Development (OGM/CD), tasked with identifying, securing, managing grant funding that will promote an increased in quality of life for the community of Brownsville.

Annual Action Plans:
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires entitlement communities to develop and submit an Annual Action Plan in order to access housing and community development funds.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG):
The CDBG program is a flexible program that provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs.

Community Voice
The Community Voice Campaign's goal is to ensure that residents of Brownsville are able to continue to reside in, assist in defining, and actively participate in critical decision-making processes in the community as it evolves.

Consolidated Plan & Performance Report
Review documents relating to the city's Consolidated Plan and Performance Reports.

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
The ESG program is a component of the state's Continuum of Care system designed to alleviate homelessness in Brownsville.

HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
The HOME Program provides formula grants to states and localities, such as the City of Brownsville, to fund a variety of activities including down payment.
