Southern Careers Institute Grand Re-Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and its Bienvenidos Committee are excited to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Southern Careers Institute on Friday, August 22nd, starting at 3:00 PM, at 935 N. Expressway in Brownsville, Texas!

Southern Careers Institute (SCI), founded in 1960, has been helping students build brighter futures for more than 65 years. Since opening its Brownsville campus in November 2008, SCI has remained committed to serving the local community through hands-on training in Tech, Business, Allied Health, Beauty, and Trades. These programs equip students with the practical skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful careers. Today, SCI Brownsville proudly celebrates the grand reopening of its newly renovated Salon and Spa, along with enhanced campus facilities, offering modern, real-world learning environments that prepare students for success in today’s workforce.
