The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and the Mexican Consulate at Brownsville have partnered to bring the first Mexican Arts and Crafts Fair to Brownsville.
The National Fund for the Promotion of Arts and Crafts (FONART) will showcase the beauty and diversity of the Mexican artisans’ creations from December 1 - 4 and 6 - 17 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at the ITEC Center (outside the offices of the Mexican Consulate) located at 301 Mexico Boulevard.
Additionally, on Friday, December 3rd and Saturday 4th artisans from Chiapas, Colima, Estado de Mexico, Guanajuato, Michoacan, Oaxaca and Sinaloa, will also be at the ITEC Center to exhibit and showcase the creativity and process involved in creating each of their pieces.
On Sunday, December 5th all crafts will be exhibited at the Christmas Grupero Festival to be held at the Brownsville Sports Park from 12:00Noon to 9:00PM.
