Memorial Illumination at Resaca de la Palma Battlefield
Experience and participate in the lighting of 8,000 candles honoring Mexican War veterans. Living History programs begin at 4 p.m. A short ceremony remembering veterans of the battles of Palo Alto and Resaca de la Palma will be held at 5 p.m. Candle lighting begins at sunset. Visitors 12 and older are encouraged to bring a grill lighter and assist with the lighting.
