Join the Dallas Stars and the Brownsville All Stars as they battle it out on the basketball court. Current and past members of the Dallas Cowboys will be in Brownsville Friday, April 9, 2010 for a benefit basketball game. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, the Brownsville Police Department, and Homer Hanna High School. There will be a limited number of tickets available. Doors will open at 5:30 PM with the game starting at 7:00 PM. Raffle tickets will be available pre game for autographed footballs to be raffled off at half time. Watch Tony Hill as he has a free throw contest with game participants. All proceeds from the game will go to the Brownsville Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers is a non profit organization that encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy. As of December 1, 2009, Crime Stoppers tips have led to 809 arrests, $148,648 rewards paid, $1,257,438 property recovered and $7,022,590 drugs seized in our community.
