BROWNSVILLE, TX – The Children's Museum of Brownsville is proud to host the first annual Dia de los Muertos altar and family-friendly activities on Saturday, October 29, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dia de los Muertos is a significant celebration of the lives of deceased loved ones and our memories of them. The Museum has planned an array of activities from creating festive calaveras or skulls, games, and arts and crafts. Included will be a children's costume contest at 3 p.m. The altar will remain in the Museum's Art Gallery until November 2, 2011. The Dia de los Muertos event is included in regular admission.
