SUMMARY:North Brownsville Rotary Club - 10th Annual Whitewing Tune Up Shoot - 2017
DESCRIPTION:Tune up your wing-shooting skills before Whitewing-Dove Season at the North Brownsville Rotary Club's 10th Annual Whitewing Tune Up Shoot.  Proceeds go towards funding scholarships for area college-bound students with over $250\,000.00 having been awarded since 1985. \n\n \n\nTrophies awarded for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd place teams and 1st\, 2nd\, & 3rd place individuals in Men's\, Women's and Youth Divisions\, plus Modified Lewis Class A\, B\, C & D winners.  No experience is necessary as we have knowledgeable clay target shooters who will instruct you!  Register at the event or entry forms are available from any club member and on the NBRC or Loma Alta's Facebook pages.  \n\n \n\nEntry fee includes participation in a multi-station sporting clay course\, BBQ meal\, refreshments and lots of door prizes\, like ice chests\, wine basket\, shotgun shells and beach gear.  Adult entry fee includes entry into the $1\,200.00 guaranteed payout Calcutta.  Additional BBQ plates available for non-participants at $10.00 each.\n\n \n\nIndividual participants will be paired with others to make up squads of 5 shooters.  Practice rounds available on the Wednesday prior from 6 PM. until closing\, at a special $6 per round.    \n\n \n**Raffle   tickets available now from club members at $10 each for an adult Yildiz 12 Ga. Over/Under Shotgun and 2-Lit Ice Chests! LOCATION:Loma Alta Trap & Skeet Club\, 500 Old Port Isabel Rd.\, Brownsville\, TX. Directions - From Harlingen: Take Expressway 77 / 83 (I-69) south towards Brownsville\, exiting FM 550 (Hwy 169 south) and proceed approximately 5 miles to Old Port Isabel Rd. Exit Old PI Rd (right-hand turn) and at the intersection of the exit and Old PI Rd.\, turn left (east) and proceed on the overpass over FM550. Proceed east on Old PI Rd. (maintained caliche road) approximately 3 miles until arriving at the club (sign and entrance gate on right side of road). From Brownsville: From Expressway 77 / 83\, take Alton Gloor Blvd. east to FM 550. Turn right on FM 550 and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to Old PI Rd.
