DESCRIPTION:As part of the Federal Contracting Series\, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with the U.S. Small Business Administration to bring you the Federal HUBZone Certification Program + SAM Registration on Thursday\, March 11\, 2021\, at 10 AM.\n\n\n\nThe federal government uses special programs to help small businesses win at least at 23 percent of all federal contracting dollars each year.\n\n\n\nTo help provide a level playing field for small businesses located in a HUBZone area the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the Federal HUBZone Programs.\n\n\n\nThe federal government's goal is to award at least three percent of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.\n\n\n\nDiscover and Learn:\n\n- If Government Contracting is for you?\n\n- What are the benefits for being HUBZone certified firms.\n\n- If you qualify for the HUBZone Program.\n\n- Are you in a designated HUBZone area?\n\n- Steps on How to do Business with the Federal Government.\n\n\n\nThe Informational Workshops have been organized by the SBA for the community.
