DESCRIPTION:The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce Health & Wellness Committee invite you to attend the first Wellness Wednesday Seminar of the year. Each month the committee will feature select National Health Observances highlighting important health issues that affect Americans every day by hosting these Wellness Wednesday Seminars on the last Wednesday of the month. \n\n\n\nJanuary is National Glaucoma Awareness Month and provides a perfect opportunity to learn about how: \n\n	Glaucoma is a non-curable disease in which damage to the optic nerve leads to progressive\, irreversible vision loss\n	Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness affecting over 3 million Americans \n	Everyone is at risk for glaucoma from babies to senior citizens\n\nThese seminars will be presented by leading experts in the Rio Grande Valley and are free & open to the community. \n\n\n\nFor more information on the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce Health & Wellness Committee\, please contact committee liaison Danielle Rodriguez at danielle@brownsvillechamber.com or (956) 542-4341.
