DESCRIPTION:The National Civics Bee is coming to Brownsville on Wednesday\, May 11\, 2022\, at the Brownsville Events Center! Join us to share your support and cheer on finalists as they compete for national acclaim and cash prizes! \n\n\n\nAbout the Bee:\n\nThe Brownsville Civics Bee is one of six inaugural National Civics Bee competitions promoted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Over 400 local middle school students participated in a first-round essay competition sharing their ideas on how to use civics to solve a problem in our community. Judges selected the top 10 student essays to advance to the final round: a live quiz event that will test student's civics knowledge. \n\n\n\nPrizes: \n\nStudents will be competing to be named the FIRST Brownsville #NationalCivicsBee champion! Each finalist will receive a trophy.
