DESCRIPTION:The National Civics Bee  in Brownsville is happening on Saturday\, April 13th\, starting at 12:00 PM\, at the Brownsville Events Center. Join us to share your support and cheer on finalists as they compete for local acclaim to advance to the state competition and win cash prizes! \n\n\n\nAbout the Bee:\n\nThe Brownsville Civics Bee is one of many pilot National Civics Bee  competitions promoted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. At least 100 local middle school students participated in a first-round essay competition. Judges will select 20 students to advance to the local live competition: a live quiz event testing civics knowledge. \n\n\n\nPrizes: \n\nStudents will be competing to win cash prizes and be named a Brownsville #NationalCivicsBee champion!
