SUMMARY:Let’s Talk Business: Marketing Essentials for your Business
DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognizes that supporting entrepreneurship is a team effort! "Marketing Essentials for your Business" is the fifth workshop in a series of 10 specifically developed with the local entrepreneur in mind. The 10 part series addresses a variety of subjects and connects participants with experts from federal\, state and local business resources.\n\n\n\nMarketing is a topic many entrepreneurs ponder as they begin shaping their business ideas. Marketing is a solution-driven process that benefits both the customer and the business owner. While advertising is important\, it is only a single component to the entire marketing process. A marketing plan is the blueprint of strategies to help you win and retain customers. Considered the heart of your business\, a marketing plan includes detailed information about your business location\, prices of products and services\, promotional methods\, and the product itself.\n\n\n\nNow\, more than ever it's important for you to know how to distinguish your business from the competition and how to reach your ideal customers. This workshop presented by the Women's Business Center-Rio Grande Valley will help you achieve this by covering the following topics:\n\n\n	Essentials of a marketing plan\n	Segmentation and target markets\n	Setting achievable marketing objectives\n	Business positioning and branding\n	Promotional Strategies (digital and traditional marketing)\n	Internet and social media marketing\n	Measuring your marketing efforts success\n\n\nFor more information contact Veronica Z. Ortega at (956) 427-8533\, x233 or email to: veronica.ortega@sba.gov\n\nThe Informational Workshops have been organized by the SBA for the community. The SBA's participation is not an endorsement of any opinion\, product or service of the organizations in attendance.\n\nSBA programs and services are provided on a nondiscriminatory basis. Reasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made\, if requested at least two weeks in advance.
